The Rising Phoenix Decatur is a grassroots movement in Decatur, Illinois, uniting neighbors to support survivors of domestic violence and nurture resilient youth in trauma-affected homes. Through trauma-informed programming, emergency resources, and intergenerational healing initiatives, we provide survivors and youth with safety, skills, and support to break cycles of violence. Our youth empowerment programs build confidence and leadership, while our community network creates lasting change. Together, we rise from adversity to hope.

Have something you need? Don't be afraid to ask! (You don't have to be involved with domestic violence to ask.)

Have something you don't need? Don't be too shy to offer!

 Little Free Library (Online Edition)

Explore our collection of free PDF books—because education should be accessible to all. Here you'll find:

Essential resources on domestic violence awareness and recovery
Frequently banned books that challenge, inspire, and provoke thought

We also believe censorship has no place in education. If you're here to expand minds rather than limit them, you're in the right place.

All materials are in the public domain—take what you need, share what you can. Enjoy!

Decatur Period Pride: Breaking the Stigma

Join us each June in supporting women in need throughout the month of June! Your donations of pads, tampons, or liners will provide dignity and comfort to clients of New Vision Food Bank and Dove Domestic Violence Shelter. With 1 in 4 women struggling to afford period products, your contribution—whether dropped off at KC Finds (2809 N. Main St, Decatur), or ordered via our Amazon Wishlist—directly fights period poverty in our community. Let's work together to help ensure no woman in Decatur goes without these essential supplies.
